Villains and Scoundrels
The 2010 Friends of Freddy Convention
September 17-19, 2010
Winter Clove Inn, Round Top, NY

In 2006, it was "A Crime Wave in the Catskills", in 2008 it was "Last Pig Standing", a light-hearted contest to determine the best Freddy book ever. This time we'll turn our spotlight on the best [worst?] (boo, hiss) villains in the sacred series. More details about this will soon be forthcoming.

Our first session will be an informal meet and greet Friday evening following dinner. This is always a good chance to get to know each other and to share our enthusiasm for the books of Brooks. The talks and more formal discussion will begin on Saturday morning, while Saturday evening will feature our traditional banquet (no, pork will not be on the menu; all bets are off when it comes to breakfasts, however, when the sweet smells of sausage and bacon frying may prove irresistible. Let your conscience be your guide is all I can say). There will be a full day of programming scheduled for Sunday and, for the diehards among us, some foolery will be informally scheduled for Monday morning (checkout time is 11 a.m.)

Anyone is welcome to give a presentation. If interested, please contact Michael Cart at .

Details

The 2010 Friends of Freddy convention will take place at The Winter Clove Inn, Round Top, NY. It's under an hour's drive southwest of Albany, NY, and about an hour's drive from Brooks's hometown of Roxbury.

The convention will begin Friday evening, September 17, around 7 pm and continue into Monday, September 20. Remember, people come to the conventions not only to discuss Freddy, but also to meet each other. So come make new friends and visit old ones and have a weekend of fun. Hope to see you all!

The Hotel

The Winter Clove Inn is a four-season Catskill vacation resort. The weekend rates are $115 per day for adults on Friday and Saturday and $100 on Sunday. There is no charge for children under four.
